Description

Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, these air fryer apple fries are a quick, tasty snack with a light cinnamon crunch.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel (if desired) and cut apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. In Bowl 1, add flour. In Bowl 2, whisk egg and milk together. In Bowl 3, mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, and coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly spray coated apple fries with nonstick spray and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

For best results, dry the apple sticks well, work in small batches, and serve immediately to maintain crispness.
