- 1 pound lean ground beef (80/20)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and optional barbecue sauce. Mix gently.
- Shape the beef into 3-4 evenly sized patties about ½ inch thick and press a small dimple in the center of each.
- Lightly oil the air fryer basket or use a liner.
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- In the final 1-2 minutes, add a slice of cheese or a glaze of barbecue sauce if desired.
- Let the burgers rest for 3-5 minutes before serving on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Make sure to use a meat thermometer to confirm internal temperature reaches at least 160°F for safety.
